Please, take note that the news reported on the
Baseitalia.com are taken by a local newspaper (L'Adige), so don't assume that are true, since we all know how the
newspapers can change the real facts...
You can verify my words visiting the newspaper site at
www.ladige.it (only in
Italian) and looking in the archive for the original article: you'll find the same words and the same typing errors as on
the Baseitalia site (i.e. "slieder" instead of "slider", etc.)...
I've heard by a local witness
that maybe not true, like the newspaper wrote, that the rig configuration was a no-slider setup. I'm pretty sure that also a
beginner can't intentionally take a 6 second delay without a slider...
We're still waiting for REAL info's by the
many witnesses that were there when the accident happened.
